children, adolescents, families, adults and couples in need of
personal and relational support. As an Associate Patient Care
Coordinator at Awakened Heart (Part of Eugene Therapy & Optum
Behavioral Care), you will be responsible for providing support to
patients and the clinical staff. The Associate Patient Care
Coordinator will support providers with the check in and check out
process for patients, register new patients, prepare paperwork and
review for accuracy, verify completion of consent and insurance
eligibility, process time of service collections, handle existing
patient communications, manage internal referrals, and ensure work
locations are presentable and welcoming. Location: This will be a
fully onsite role in Beaverton (8285 SW Nimbus Ave. 130, Beaverton,
OR 97008), but will also require travel/onsite work at Awakened
Heart Pearl District (1306 NW Hoyt St. Portland, OR) and Bindery
(3115 NE Sandy Blvd 225, Portland, OR 97232), as needed. Training
will take place primarily in Portland, OR. Schedule: Monday-Friday,
between the hours of 8am-5pm PST Primary Responsibilities: - Review
each patient’s chart prior to appointment and ensure consents and
insurance verification is complete - Support providers with patient
check in and check out; obtain registration forms, collect and
upload insurance cards and identification, verify completion of
consents and confirm insurance eligibility - Assist with onboarding
new patients, help patient’s access patient portal, prepare and
confirm completion of paperwork, ensure consents and insurance
verification are complete - Process payments or co-pays,
deductibles, co-insurance, self-pay, and missed appointment fees -
Assist in update and/or scheduling of existing patients, including
assisting with internal referrals initiated by the provider -
Answer phone calls and return voicemails; record all requests in
the EHR system for Provider follow-up - Inventory, submit order
requests, and restock supplies - Monitor clinician/admin/OBC inbox
and respond accordingly and take necessary steps - Ensure all
locations are welcoming and adhere to brand guidelines - Secure
patient information and maintain patient confidentiality What are

Diploma / GED (or higher) - 1 years of experience in a mental
health or medical office setting - 1 years of experience with
electronic health records Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's
degree - Experience with insurance verification - Ability to
interpret a variety of data and instructions furnished in written,
oral, diagram, or schedule form Soft Skills: - Written and verbal
communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and
professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical staff -

hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $27.69 per hour
