About the Position We are seeking an experienced Locums Orthopedic
Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a busy
orthopedic service in Coos Bay, OR. This role offers a mix of
operating room, inpatient, emergency department, and call coverage
in a collaborative hospital-based setting. Position Details
Schedule Options: 4x10-hour shifts or 5x8-hour shifts Call
Requirements: 1–2 nights per week Every third weekend Night,
weekend, and holiday call coverage required Weekend Requirements:
Yes Responsibilities Order and interpret diagnostic studies
including X-ray, CT, MRI, EMG, and bone scans Perform orthopedic
procedures such as digital blocks, joint injections/aspirations,
closed fracture and dislocation reductions, casting, splinting,
wound care, and minor outpatient surgical procedures First assist
in orthopedic surgeries, including tissue closure and application
of orthopedic appliances Provide inpatient care, conduct hospital
rounds, write orders, and complete histories, physicals, and
discharge summaries Serve as primary orthopedic call for Emergency
Department and inpatient services and participate in weekday,
weekend, and overnight call rotation Requirements Board Certified
Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Active Oregon state
license Coos Bay, Oregon is a scenic coastal community known for
