Job Description:
Legacy Health, a leading non-profit health system in the Pacific
Northwest, is looking for a skilled Surgical Technologist to join
our dynamic team. Our organization operates six hospitals along
with numerous specialty and primary care facilities across Oregon
and Washington, each dedicated to providing exceptional health care
with a compassionate touch. As a Surgical Technologist, you will
play a crucial role in our surgical teams, ensuring that all
operations are executed with the highest standards of safety and
efficiency. Prepare and organize the operating room equipment,
instruments, and supplies necessary for various surgical
procedures. Ensure strict adherence to sterile techniques and
assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and other
sterile supplies. Count sponges, needles, and instruments before
and after the operation. Assist in preparing, handling, and
disposing of specimens taken for laboratory analysis. Aid in the
application of dressings and the operation of sterilizers.
Collaborate closely with the surgical team and other medical
professionals to maintain a sterile environment. Participate in all
required training and continuing education events. Proficient in
the use of surgical tools and instruments. Strong understanding of
sterilization and infection control protocols. Ability to remain
composed and competent in high-stress, fast-paced environments.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Medical Insurance

Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical
Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA). Basic Life Support
(BLS) Certification.
