Job Description:
Legacy Health, a leading non-profit health system renowned for
compassionate care, is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Care
Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team. At Legacy Health,
you will be part of a healthcare network that includes six
hospitals and numerous clinics across Oregon and Washington,
ensuring high-impact medical services to our community. This
position is pivotal for providing respiratory care and support to
patients, while adhering to established protocols and working
collaboratively with physicians and nursing staff to ensure the
best patient outcomes. Perform diagnostic tests to measure lung
capacity and analyze blood samples to determine concentrations of
oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases. Administer therapies and
interventions as per physician’s direction and established
guidelines. Monitor and manage life support ventilatory systems for
patients with severe pulmonary conditions. Educate patients and
their families on managing respiratory illnesses and effective use
of treatments and equipment. Maintain accurate patient records and
communicate patient status and progress to healthcare team members.
Adhere to safety standards and protocols to ensure quality of care.
Proficiency in using respiratory care equipment including
ventilators, oxygen units, and aerosol devices. Strong analytical
skills for interpreting clinical data. Excellent communication
skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare
teams. Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Medical Insurance
Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified
Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist
(RRT) credential required. Current licensure or eligibility for
licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of Oregon
and Washington.
